Perhaps no other world city was at the center of so much of 20th century history as Berlin. And in the 21st century Berlin continues to be a world city and the dynamic capital of Germany with 3.5 million residents. Students who attend the 2018 International Geography Bee World Championships will have an opportunity to visit Berlin’s sites including the Brandenburg Gate, the remaining portions of the Berlin Wall, Museum Island, the Reichstag, the Checkpoint Charlie Museum and more. We’ll also visit the palaces of Potsdam and the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp site and Memorial.
